Bicycles

Those who have bicycles at College are reminded of the following: 1. All bicycles must be registered at the Front Office as soon as possible 2. All bicycles must have the allocated yellow tag attached and readily visible. 3. Bicycles need to be stored in the new Bikeshed under the new servery. Please see exception below. 4. Bicycles still need to be locked.

South B

Painters, electricians and carpet layers are currently working steadily through South B.

New Kitchen/Servery

The transition to the new kitchen and servery will be taking place today and tomorrow (Wednesday and Thursday). Meals will be served from the new servery as from breakfast on Thursday 29 April.

South B Repairs

Work is progressing well with South B.

New Kitchen and Servery

Late on Friday afternoon (16 April) Perth City Council verbally granted permission for the College to occupy the new building. The written certificate of permission is likely to be available on Monday morning, 19 April.

Fire Hydrants

The two fire hydrants which need to be placed in the College Quad will be placed in the garden on the south side of the Quad.

Storm Repairs: Up-Date 3

As of 5pm Friday 9 April some rooms and areas of North B are very messy. Kitty will be coming in on Saturday morning to clean through North B.

The builder has just given permission for students to move into South G, South A and North B as from 4pm today, Thursday 8 April. (North G 18 is the exception to this.)

The works in North Wing and South Wing have been proceeding well and as scheduled.

Newby Wing Delay

Those students who were inconvenienced by the unscheduled delay to Newby Wing and intend to seek compensation according to the document headed “Newby Wing Delay Compensation”, and dated 5 March 2010 are required to fill-in a copy of this form (available from the Front Office, the Warden and the Deputy Warden) and submit it to the Warden by Thursday 1 April 2010.

Insurance

The College has had an extensive insurance cover in place and is in the process of making a multi-faceted claim.

Storm Damage at St George's College

St George’s College suffered very serious damage when a ferocious hail (larger than golf balls) and thunderstorm battered the College from 4.15 – 4.35pm on Monday 22 March 2010. Thankfully no residents were injured
