6.1
(a) Subject to the sub-clauses (b) and (c) hereof a junior member who fails to pass any of the units constituting a standard full-time enrolment for the degree course in which the junior member is currently enrolled will not normally be permitted to return to College for the next following academic session (semester).

(b) Subject to any change of course or withdrawal from particular units During the semester which shall be approved by the Warden pursuant to clause 6.3 the current degree course enrolment of a junior member is the degree course for which that member was enrolled at the commencement of the then current academic year.

(c) The Warden has discretion to waive the requirement appearing in sub-clause (a) hereof provided that the Warden is satisfied that there are circumstances which warrant any such waiver.

6.2 If as a result of a junior member's academic performance in the first semester of an academic year, it is the opinion of the Warden after consultation with senior members of the College and the Sub-Dean of the relevant faculty, that the junior member cannot complete the University's requirements for satisfactory academic progress for the whole year or next semester, the Warden may terminate that member's membership at the College.

6.3 A junior member proposing a change of course or withdrawal from particular units must obtain the approval of the Warden before any such action is finalised. Failure to do so normally entails -

(a) the immediate termination of the said junior member's membership of the College, or

(b) that the said junior member will not be invited to renew his or her membership of the College for the next academic year.

6.4 A junior member, when requested to do so, shall furnish to the person making the request, within a stipulated time, a report of that member's progressive academic results provided always that every care shall be taken to restrict knowledge of a junior member's academic results to those who have been designated by the Warden as having a right or need to know and further provided that the only persons who may make a request for report of academic results are the Warden, the Sub-Warden and any other senior member authorised by the Warden to do so.

6.5
(a) Subject to (b) hereof, if a junior member fails to furnish a report of the said member's academic results as prescribed in paragraph 6.4 of these rules by the time stipulated by the person making the request, the said junior member shall be liable to the same penalties as a person who has failed to comply with the requirements of paragraph 6.3 of these rules.

(b) Where a junior member is unable for reasonable cause to furnish the person making the request with a report of that member's progressive academic results within the stipulated time, the said member shall not be liable to any penalty provided that the person making the request is informed within the stipulated time of the said junior member's inability and the reasonable cause thereof and provided further that the Warden shall be the sole arbiter of what constitutes such reasonable cause.
